The BBQ.

Frank and I purchased a new portable BBQ for our up coming camping trip and decided to test it out tonight, so we packed up a few items and took our small picnic out to a local park. We no sooner had our spot picked out and our BBQ heating up ( we walked quite a ways away from the most heavily populated areas so we could have a nice quiet dinner ) than a strange couple came and plunked them selves down less than 40 feet away from where we had set up our dinner.
It was a bit odd because there was this HUGE empty area and they could have sat anywhere, but they decided that we had the best spot I guess. Anyway, as soon as they spread out their blanket, she lay down and he jumped right on top of her! Umm...hello....we were there first and they had to have seen us because they kept looking our way. We turned out backs on them ( it was too late to move because our dinner was sizzling away on the BBQ ) only to have them get up and actually move closer to where we were.
Um.
Awkward.
So we ate our dinner with them getting VERRRY cozy behind us. I guess they like an audience because they were quite noisy, and as soon as our BBQ had cooled down enough to move, we made a hasty exit!!

Why is it.....

Why is it that every time you are not feeling well ( bad cold/flu, surgery, allergies etc ), your period has to start to make you feel even worse?? I had my remaining 2 wisdom teeth pulled on Tuesday and all went pretty well. On Thursday, I was in such excruciating pain I had to go back to the oral surgeon and be squeezed in between patients. It turns out I have what's called dry socket, meaning the clot never formed over the surgical site and my nerves are exposed. He packed it with a nice clove paste that numbed me again, but then I spent 6 hours in emerge. last night because of the pain. Now we all know I have a pretty high tolerance for pain ( after all, you are awake during pacer surgery ), but they pumped me full of morphine and sent me home with a prescription for Demerol. Today I had to flush out the clove plug from the dentist and WOW, the pain started up all over again! Thank goodness the emerge Dr. told me to take double doses of Demerol until the nerves are protected again. Until then, it hurts to eat, drink, brush my teeth and even breath, and I am on an all soft food diet of only lukewarm items ( nothing hot or cold ).
I have to admit I am a bicth when in pain, and the pain prevents me from sleeping as well which makes me even worse, so I have to say THANKS to my Honey for all his patience and his loveing care. He warms my yogurt and cottage cheese to room temp, brings me my medication and rubs my back when I am hurting so much I cry! What a great guy!! Thanks Frank, I love you!!

Its back!!

Back when I was in College, there was a television show on called The Mole, and I really enjoyed it. Its kinds like Amazing Race with a twist because the entire group of people work as a team doing various tasks in order to win money that gets pooled into one pot. The twist is that one team member, the "mole", is trying to sabotage the teams efforts to complete tasks and win money for the pot. Anyway, I only ever saw it one season, ands last night while channel surfing.....I saw it!! And the best part was, it was the first episode of a new season!
Now if only I can find it again to see the next episode....

Yummie Dinner.

Thanks to Frank tonight's dinner was delicious! He made Fajitas and Mom came over to join us for dinner. We had a nice ripe and juicy "water melting" ( in the words of my eldest nephew ) for dessert and a bowl of creamsicle ice cream too!
I finally picked up my new glasses and BOY do they make a difference! I knew my prescription had changed, but I didn't realize by how much my sight was affected! Anyway, loving the new glasses and prescription RayBan's that came with for free!!
I am looking forward to Tuesdays surgery, something I never thought I'd ever say, but the pain is driving me nuts and the pain meds are only doing so much. Who'd have thought that wisdom teeth could be such a pain? I had 2 pulled a few years ago but the others never bothered me till last week when my jaw fractured due to the fact that my wisdom teeth all grow horizontal instead of vertically. They grow into my molars, pushing into all of my teeth and creating pain in the entire face, not just the wisdom teeth. Bummer, but soon to be over!
