Needing a new TV...

So, we are now in need of a new TV. We currently have a 27" GE television that goes on the fritz from time to time. Sometimes the volume just dissapears as if its been muted, or the sound just goes straight to static, but the picture is just fine all the time. When the sound goes we have to unplug the television and then plug it back in again to get things back to normal. Not a big deal, but a bit of a pain in the neck when you are watching a tv movie or your favorite television show and they are just about to reveal the twist in the plot.
Hike has been saying for the past year now that he wants a big screen tv, and now this is the perfect excuse for him to get one ( and he is already shopping around for one! ).
Now you have to imagine our place to understand my unease over this, we have a really nice oak entartainment unit that will accomidate up to a 32 inch television. It has a shelf underneath that for the DVD player and a drawer underneath the shelf to store videos, games, manuals etc. Also, this unit has a nice cabinate attached to it thats got 4 shelves behind a glass door that we use to display items. We both love this unit and don't want to part with it, but what do we do with it when we get a 42 inch television? Put it on top of the unit? But then what do we do with the 20 gallon aquarium that we already have set up on top of the unit? And what do we do with the hole that will be left open from the old TV? Maybe put the aquarium down on the television shelf? Just suck it up and get rid of the unit? I tried to post a pic of the unit, but at the moment my computer is not connecting properly to the camera...will try again later...
