What a day!
The past few days we have had AMAZING weather! Friday was 30 degrees, yesterday was 31 degrees, and today was 28 degrees, and we made the best of the sunshine! I cleaned up the balcony and put together my balcony flower boxes which look pretty good and will look a lot better once the flowers settle in and start to grow more.
Frank and I went shopping yesterday and I managed to pick up some pretty amazing deals which included a pair great jeans that were on sale. I thought I was getting them for about $20, but when they were scanned at the till, they rang up as $2. Someone must have entered the sale price wrong, but the cashier gave them to me for that price anyway, isn't that great??
Mom and I spent most of the day shopping, and I am happy to say that tonight will be spent on the couch like a lazy bum watching a movie.
Hope every one else is haveing a great long week end as well.

The rest of the story:
Alli's version is a bit too mellow, so here is how it actually happened:
The phone rang at 7 o'clock on Monday morning, and when I picked it up I heard Alli screaming hysterically. My first thought was that something had happened to one of the kids, and after a few min. of trying to yell over her screaming, I managed to get from Alli that the kids were all ok ( and by this time I could hear Na in the back ground). She managed to get out a few "Kali's" so my next thought was that she (Kali the cat ) had been hit by a car, and after 10 min of her hysteria I finally concluded that the cat had simply brought a mouse into the house. I was finally able to establish through Allis sobs that it was not a mouse or a rat, and I had to convince Alli to take a GOOD look at the animal and tell me what it was so that I could tell her how to proceed. As soon as she figured out that it was just a harmless baby bunny ( as opposed to the killer mouse or rabid rat she was so convinced that it was ), the hysterics stopped. Next came the very calm and rational conversation on how to get the bunny back out side.
I am so thankful that all of my nephews and the cat were ok, but I think it was ME, and not Alli that suffered the heart attack when I was awoken to her screams of panic. I mean honestly, from 3,000 km away, what did she think I could do for her??? She has a really nasty habit of forgetting about the three hour time difference between Ontario and British Columbia, so I figured it was her calling, but the screaming was scared me awake better than an ice cold shower!
Thanks Al, you have succeeded in ageing me about 10 years in about 10 min!!
